How To Make/Create Paper Lantern Craft Easily

The festival season begins in the fall. We began to consider how we could embrace the festivities and make crafts to commemorate them. "What do the two major festivals of Christmas and Diwali have in common?" we wondered. And the response was "lighting"! Isn't it fascinating?

Lights play such an important role in major holiday celebrations. So, using paper, popsicle sticks, and some mandala painting, we built paper lanterns or paper luminaries.

It's a lot of fun to learn about festivals and celebrate them with your kids. These are the days that children anticipate and cherish for the rest of their lives.

Making a festival-themed project allows kids to gain a better grasp of customs, culture, and tradition. While visualizing, conceiving, and implementing ideas, they are also exercising their creative neurons.

Have a wonderful festive season! May the light shine brightly on you.

1. To build the lantern's sides, glue four craft sticks together. Make one more craft stick square if you want to finish the lantern's base.

2. Trace four squares of tracing paper.

3. On one of the tracing papers, trace and color the mandala pattern.

4. Glue the tracing papers on the squares of wood sticks.

5. Using a hot glue gun, adhere the sides together. Regular white glue can also be used.
